Charity games in Honor of Bill Kent

Our friend and bridge player extraordinaire, Bill Kent, has entered hospice after a long battle with cancer.

In recognition of Bill’s many, many years of service to the Unit and the game of bridge in general, there will be for games specifically in Bill’s honor held the week of November 2. The entry fee will be an extra $2.00 per person per game. The extra money generated by the temporary fee increase will then be donated to the UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital, the charity Bill selected.

The specific games that will honor Bill’s contributions are as follows:

  • Monday, Nov. 2 at 11:30 with MaryAnn Boardman, representing the Cedar Rapids and Dubuque areas
